BAE SYSTEMS REGIONAL AIRCRAFT UP IN 2010

BAE Systems confirmed that it placed 52 aircraft in 2010 (from 44 in 2009) and won "significant" remarketing mandates from third parties. From the 52 placed aircraft, 45 were core BAe 146/Avro RJs. 11 aircraft were placed in North America. At the start of 2011 a total of 13 aircraft were being actively remarketed due to “changes of plans by operators”.

"In a highly competitive market, we have shown our resilience and determination to deliver quality support, engineering and asset management services to our customers during 2010 and, as a result, demonstrate excellent value to BAE Systems," BAE Systems Regional Aircraft MD Alan Fraser said. "We look forward to creating new opportunities during 2011, which promises to be an exciting year on a number of fronts." Out of the 52 aircraft it placed, 41 went to passenger markets in Europe, Australia, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa.
