Badr Airline to commence Khartoum-Gatwick route

Badr Airlines is all set to commence flights from Khartoum, Sudan to London Gatwick towards the end of February 2023. The twice weekly flight will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays with the airline planning to operate 737-800 on the route.

The flight will stop at Istanbul airport on the way to UK, for security reasons as required by the UK authority.

In 2019, about 33,000 passengers travelled from London to Khartoum with London being the unserved European market from Khartoum. Meanwhile the airline may or may not stop at Cairo, Egypt for fuel recharge depending on the wind and payload.

Badr Airline is the fourth airline to have linked the UK and Sudan capitals in the past two decades.
