BayernLB’s Sector Aviation & Space recently acted as joint lead arranger in a US$ 255m non-recourse acquisition facility to Azorra. The financing facility is a club deal with Citi and Fifth Third Bank, financing 10 new Airbus A220-300 and Embraer E2 aircraft.

“The purpose of the financing facility is to provide Azorra with a tailored solution for building their portfolio through new deliveries from Airbus and Embraer. Featuring warehouse-like structural elements, it will accommodate upcoming deliveries to eligible lessees across the globe,” adds Viktor Berta, Director Asset Finance in BayernLB’s London Branch.
Azorra currently owns and manages a fleet of 83 aircraft on lease to 24 operators in 19 countries, with total commitments of more than 140 aircraft including orders for new Airbus A220-100/300 aircraft and Embraer E190/195-E2 aircraft.
