Embraer has confirmed the undisclosed customer for 15 E195-E2 jets on the January order book is Azzora. The order is valued at $1.2 billion at list price and was added to the Q4 2022 backlog.
This order further adds to Azorra’s 20 aircraft firm orderbook, bringing Azorra’s total orderbook with Embraer to 35 aircraft. Azorra still maintains incremental purchase rights under its existing agreements with Embraer.
“This decision to exercise purchase rights is a testament to the rising popularity of the E2 program,” said Ron Baur, President of Azorra. “With the recent additions of Royal Jordanian, Scoot and SKS Airways to our E2 customer list, as well as the interest we’re seeing from the market, exercising purchase rights was a logical decision. We continue to see a bright future for the E2 family and thank Embraer for their continued partnership.”
Martyn Holmes, CCO, Embraer Commercial Aviation, said, “Azorra has made a big impact on our market in a short time. They are proving to be great partners for Embraer and our airline customers. As the global leader in regional aircraft, Embraer is pleased to see the momentum our market is enjoying.”
Azorra has a long-standing partnership with Embraer and owns and manages a portfolio of more than 100 Embraer E1, E2, and Phenom aircraft, making Azorra one of the largest lessors of Embraer aircraft.
