Azorra has delivered an ATR 72-600 aircraft to Air Moana, marking a new partnership as the lessor expands its presence in Oceania.
The aircraft, identified as MSN 1553, was delivered in Fort Lauderdale on April 7 and brings Air Moana’s fleet to three ATR 72-600 turboprops.
The addition will support the airline’s domestic operations across French Polynesia, including routes to Bora Bora, Moorea and Huahine, as it looks to increase capacity in the inter-island market.
Azorra said the delivery reflects its strategy of growing its customer base in the Pacific region. The ATR 72-600 is designed for short-haul operations, with features such as modern avionics and the ability to operate on short runways, making it suited to island networks.
Air Moana said the aircraft would enhance reliability and efficiency as it continues to expand operations across the archipelago.
