Lufthansa Technik is to provide parts support to Azerbaijan Airlines' Boeing 787 Dreamliner wide-body fleet
The five-year total component support (TCS) deal takes effect in May, Lufthansa Technik said, and will give the flag carrier "24/7 access to Lufthansa
Technik's global spare parts pool network".
"Among other services, the TCS includes an AOG (Aircraft On Ground) support that guarantees Azerbaijan Airlines shortest possible delivery for time-critical components," Lufthansa Technik added, saying a tailored deal had been agreed to "easily cover the carrier's planned fleet expansion".
"Ensuring flight safety is Azerbaijan Airlines' highest priority," said Samir Rzayev, the airline's first vice president. "The signing of an agreement with the leading component provider Lufthansa Technik is another example of this."
"We are honoured to support Azerbaijan Airlines on its growth path through our proven component support, and we are especially honoured
to service their flagship aircraft," said Andreas van de Kuil, vice president sales Central Europe & CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) at Lufthansa Technik.
