AWAS to place two A319 passenger aircraft with new customer VIM Avia

AWAS has agreed to the lease of two Airbus A319 aircraft with VIM Avia, an established scheduled service and charter operator based in Moscow, Russia. These modern aircraft are both from AWAS’ existing portfolio and the first of the two aircraft has delivered today.

These two A319 narrowbodies will be configured in 150 pax layout and will be deployed on existing routes as well as new ones to be launched under VIM Avia's network expansion plans.

"We have been a longtime Boeing 757-200s operator, however working with AWAS we became convinced that the economics of the A319s can provide us an advantage on parts of our network. These two aircraft will also allow us to maintain the highest quality of service to our customers," states Rashid Mursekaev, President of VIM Avia.

"It was through listening to the customer and understanding their unique business model and plans for growth, that AWAS was able to provide the right solution to VIM Avia and begin a long term partnership," says Marlin Dailey, Chief Commercial Officer AWAS.
