AWAS has also announced the leasing of an A330-200 to Bulgarian charter operator BH Air. The aircraft is the first of its type and the first wide-body aircraft for BH Air.
Lanko Ivanov, CEO of BH Air, said: "We have been a longtime Airbus A320 operator, however working with AWAS, we became convinced that the economics and the performance of the A330 can provide us an advantage on certain routes of our operations. This aircraft will allow us to maintain the highest quality of service to our customers, allow us to extend to destinations beyond the range of our existing fleet, as well as benefit from A320/ A330 commonalities.”
