AWAS has finalised the acquisition of two 737-800s and one Airbus A330-200 aircraft from another lessor. The two 737’s are already on long-term leases to current AWAS customer Garuda Indonesia, and the widebody Airbus A330-200 is on lease to Qantas.
“This acquisition of highly desirable aircraft, further adding to AWAS’ modern fleet, is another example of how we are profitably growing our platform,” said Ray Sisson, President and CEO, AWAS. “This successful transaction, coupled with our demonstrated ability to grow our fleet through purchase lease-backs and our significant new order pipeline, are levers that we can utilise to drive value for our customers and our shareholders.”
DVB Bank provided the commercial loan facility for the two Garuda aircraft, while Westpac Banking Corporation was the lender to AWAS for the acquisition of the A330-200 on lease to Qantas.
