Avion Express said it is "planning to expand in South America by establishing an air operator certificate (AOC) under Brazilian regulations for its ACMI/charter airline operations in the country and the region".
“As the largest economy in the region with a well-developed airline sector, Brazil presents an excellent opportunity for the development of our company. Our primary objective in Brazil is to bring cost and operational efficiencies to local airlines and tour operators via our ACMI and charter services,” said Darius Kajokas, chief executive ofAvion Express, an Avia Solutions Group business.
Avion Express said the planned new airline would include Airbus A321F cargo aircraft. “Our goal is to grow steadily yet firmly and expand the fleet of Avion Express Brazil to a double-digit number of aircraft within the first two years of operations," said Kajokas.
