Colombian carrier Avianca has successfully migrated to Swiss Aviation Software’s AMOScloud aircraft maintenance software, marking what Swiss-AS terms a ‘significant leap in Avianca’s digital transformation journey’.
The conclusion of the seven month project stemmed from a ‘strategic desire to harness the advantages of cloud technology,’ driven by the need for enhanced scalability, cost-effectiveness and operational agility. The adoption of AMOScloud moves Avianca’s on-premises maintenance setup to a Google Cloud-hosted solution, reducing infrastructure costs, offering ease of scalability and providing operational continuity.
“The migration and was successful and almost imperceptible to end users,” highlights Avianca, adding that Swiss-AS’ support facilitated a successful transition “without critical operational impact and with effective and dedicated support during stabilisation”.
A long-time user of AMOS, Avianca’s migration to the new AMOScloud platform was culminated with an 18-hour operations, with the core database and webdrive transition completed in just four hours.
