Corporate jet charter flyer and lessor Klasjet is "adding eight 186-189 economy configuration Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet before the peak summer season", said parent company Avia Solutions Group.
“We see a very strong need for ACMI [aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance] in the market right now and it’s only expected to grow,” said Lukas Petrauskas, Klasjet's deputy chief executive.
“Aircraft manufacturers are dealing with backlogs and the situation is made more complicated by a number of overbooked MRO [maintenance, repair, overhaul] slots," he said.
