Aventure Aviation has purchased its first aircraft for teardown, a wide-body Boeing 767-300ER, MSN 24952 from the Bank of Utah and Aeroturbine, Inc. The aircraft will be dismantled for parts at Aeroturbine’s facility in Goodyear, AZ, starting February 2014.
“This is a new league of business for the company,” said Zaheer Faruqi, President of Aventure Aviation. “We are excited about this project as it will give us the opportunity to increase our service to the Boeing community.”
With over 1,000 Boeing 767 planes in worldwide service, this aircraft was of particular interest to Aventure. The company is poised to provide spares support to 767 and 757 fleets with this upcoming teardown.
“This acquisition will considerably expand Aventure’s inventory of Boeing material and service capabilities,” said Melissa Coleman-Grina, Senior Director of Sales. “Our staff is trained and ready to serve customers operating the B767 aircraft.”
