Aventure Aviation has acquired for teardown a Boeing 777-2H6 (MSN 28417) airframe from Delta Airlines.
The dismantling will commence next week in Teruel, Spain by Tarmac.
"This purchase is a continuation of our strategy to support our Boeing customers, notably our freighter and international airlines," said Aventure Aviation vice president, Talha Faruqi. "The Boeing 777 has become the most successful wide-body aircraft, and we look forward to supporting our customers for many years to come," he added.
All harvested parts will be inspected on-site, and shipped to Aventure's main facilities in Peachtree City, Georgia, USA, located near Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Once refurbished, the harvested parts will soon be available to end users on an exchange as well as outright basis. Aventure is also presently considering the acquisition of several other Boeing and regional aircraft, focusing on end-of-life aircraft for dismantling purposes.
