Avelo Airlines launches eight new routes from Wilmington Airport

Avelo Airlines have launched eight new routes from Wilmington Airport, marking one of the largest expansions so far.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (MYR), Nashville, Tennessee (BNA), Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina (RDU), Savannah, Georgia (SAV), Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM), Charleston, South Carolina (CHS), Daytona Beach, Florida (DAB), and Greenville, South Carolina (GSP) are some of the destinations launched by Avelo.

The airport expects over 100,000 passengers to pass this summer.

Speaking about the recent expansion, Andrew Levy, Chief Executive, Avelo Airlines said: “Since arriving at Wilmington Airport in February, it is abundantly clear travelers from across the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley region value the affordable, convenient, and reliable air service Avelo offers. There is also no ambiguity that the fast, easy, and travel-friendly small hometown airport experience ILG offers is playing an equally important role inspiring people from across the greater Philadelphia region to travel with us."

The new expansion is on the backdrop of a series of route expansions announced this month with services starting from Kalispell, Montana to Burbank, California counting on serving the most underserved routes.
