Aviation aftermarket inventory solutions provider AvAir has acquired TAP Maintenance & Engineering Brazil’s entire inventory of more than 100,000 line items, including rotable and expendable parts.
The TAP Portugal Group is one of the world’s 10 largest aircraft and component MRO companies, servicing narrowbody and widebody aircraft for most Airbus and Boeing fleet types. With the purchase of components from its Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre facilities, AvAir will now be able to better meet customer demand.
“Costs and lead times continue to increase across the board to buy new or repair existing parts,” explained Brandon Wesson, president at AvAir. “Having the right inventory tagged and ready to go is something our customers expect from us.” AvAir has more than 26 million components in stock, offering solutions for customers and suppliers to buy, sell, exchange, loan, lease or manage assets and inventories.
