Austrian Airlines has added Rovaniemi, Finland, and Sevilla, Spain, to its winter schedule. With this expansion the airline will serve 86 destinations this winter, 70 within Europe and 16 intercontinental, starting 29 October coinciding with IATA winter season.
Austrian will also serve Kittilä, Finland, on a charter basis, with direct flights from Vienna.
Speaking on the new expanded schedule, Michael Trestl, CCO said: “"With the expansion of our winter schedule, we want to give our customers the opportunity to discover new places and collect unforgettable travel experiences. We are proud to continuously expand our network and offer our passengers first-class connections to the whole world."
Sevilla will be served twice-weekly from Vienna Airport, Tuesday and Saturday, while Rovaniemi and Kittilä will operate once-weekly on Saturdays only.
The airline will also expand its Shanghai capacity from twice weekly to thrice weekly starting October and four times a week from November 2023. The airline is also planning to increase its capacity to destinations like Newark Liberty (EWR), Marrakech, and Cairo to cater to holiday demand.
Austrian will fly its B767 and B777 on all the routes.
Besides the airline will also serve popular tourist destinations in Asia and Africa like Mauritius, Bangkok, and the Maldives.
Austrian added seven European destinations for this summer schedule, including Tivat, Porto, Marseille, Tromsø, Billund, and Vilnius.
