Aura Aero successfully powers up two-seater electric aircraft
Aura Aero has successfully powered up its first prototype of the Integral E aircraft, its two-seater electric GA trainer aircraft. The successful power-on of the aircraft signifies an important milestone in the aircraft's journey to its first flight, with flight testing to begin in the coming weeks. Around 12 units of the Integral family of aircraft (including the R and S variants) are in production and, subject to certification, scheduled to be delivered in 2024 before entering service in 2026. ""The first power-on of Integral E represents a very intense moment in the history of Aura Aero, a history which we are writing each day,"" said Aura Aero president and cofounder Jeremy Caussade. The power-on of the Integral E also represents a significant milestone for the design of Aura Aero's 19-seater Electric Regional Aircraft (ERA) program. The Integral E will play a vital role with its technology being scaled up for the ERA, which is expected to make its first test flight in 2026 and enter into service by 2028.
