ATR discloses CDP Climate Change score for first time
Regional aircraft manufacturer ATR has received a B-score from CDP Climate Change (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) after disclosing its environmental impact for the first time, joining over 23,000 business disclosing through CDP this year to drive greater transparency around climate change. CDP scores range from A to F and are attributed on the comprehensiveness of the disclosures and the organisation’s environmental risk mitigation performance. “It is clear that sustainability – and the data that underpins it – is not a ‘nice to have,’ but an essential part of long-term success in the business community that is showing no sign of slowing down,” explained Sherry Madera, CEO at CDP. Natalie Tarnard Laude, ATR’s chief executive officer, commented that the manufacturer’s desire to “lead by example and inspire our entire industry, including our supply chain” inspired the voluntary disclosure. “We strongly believe that true progress towards a sustainable future comes from relentless self-assessment and a commitment to international, science-based standards,” she added.
