Ascend Airways has received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), officially making it the UK’s newest airline. The ACMI and charter airline, established in 2023 from Synergy Aviation, is part of the Avia Solutions Group.
“The culmination of several months of hard work and long hours for the whole team of committed and dedicated professionals at Ascend Airways have all played a huge role in getting to this day,” highlighted Tony Carder, commercial director. “We now look forward to commencing commercial operations with our B737-800 and B737 MAX 8”.
The airline’s 737 MAX 8, registered G-WEAH and less than two years old, has also recently been repainted white “ready for the summer season” with the 737 to shortly receive a similar new paint scheme.
