The Air India board approved the termination of Air India Express Chief Operating Officer Capt Pawan Arora. Arora is contesting the decision and referred the matter to the airline's legal department.
The decision to sack Arora was taken in the November board meeting and the former civil aviation minister had also made an announcement to the effect in the Parliament. However, Arora continues to attend office, hold meetings and take decisions as the airline works out the legal ramifications of the issue.
