Arik Air has introduced a new scheme to allow for cheaper flights on its domestic routes as long as tickets are booked 14 days in advance. The Nigerian airline wants to encourage passengers to book in advance rather than purchase tickets on the day at the airport.
Fares for domestic destinations start from N10, 600 one-way to destinations like Jos and Sokoto from Lagos. With the new fare system, passengers can now pay as low as N14, 750 for flights from Lagos to Abuja and N11, 100 for flights from Lagos to Calabar.
Arik Air’s Vice President Sales and Distribution, John Brayford said: "Arik Air has always been driven by quality and value and this is one more example of how we are adapting to meet the requirements of the traveling public. Customers are slowly moving away from last minute purchasing as there is an ever increasing demand to make travel arrangements well in advance. Our size, extensive network in Nigeria, combined with new products give us considerable leverage to offer such dynamic pricing. We believe this offer will give more of our customer’s greater flexibility of flights at very attractive prices across our entire domestic network.
