Archer has selected Bristol as the home of its UK engineering hub. The hub will support some of the company's engineering initiatives across its commercial and defence programmes.
The company said it has begun hiring engineers for the hub, which will help drive Archer's local collaboration with Anduril UK and GKN.
“We want to hire the best engineers the UK has to offer. Bristol has a strong industrial base and a deep talent pool that makes that possible,” said Archer CEO and founder Adam Goldstein. “This market is a big area of focus for us moving forward and our UK hub will be our home base.”
Archer’s defence work is anchored by its strategic partnership with Anduril, which selected Archer as its exclusive partner to develop a hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft tailored for the US and allied defence applications.
