AOG Technics in court over bogus CFM parts

During a procedural heading in the UK High Court in London on September 20, AOG Technics – the parts supplier accused of supplying parts with falsified documentation to MROs – was accused of engaging in a “deliberate, dishonest and sophisticated scheme to deceive the market with falsified documents on an industrial scale”, according to a statement from Matthew Reeve, a lawyer for CFM and its co-owners General Electric and Safran, as reported by Reuters.

The hearing did not cover the allegations of forgery but the court heard that CFM and its engine partners had “compelling documentary evidence that thousands of jet engine parts have been sold by (AOG) to airlines operating commercial aircraft fitted with the claimants’ jet engines”, as quoted in the Reuters report.

AOG and sole director Zamora Yrala were reported to be “cooperating fully” with an investigation by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the court further ordered the company to disclose any documentation relating to the part transactions in question.
