A weak yen and high fuel costs has impacted profits at both All Nippon Airlines (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL).
ANA net profit dropped by 36% to 33.3 billion yen between April and December, mainly due to raised fuel costs, although sales rose by 7.1% to 1.2 trillion yen.
During the same nine-month period, JAL profit dropped by 12.2% to US$1.2 billion, despite a 5.1% increase in sales for international travel and cargo services.
