Shinya Katanozaka, CEO of ANA Holdings, has indicated his plans to set up a new airline venture in Myanmar are progressing with international flights slated for 2018. ANA controls a 49% stake in the new venture in partnership with a local company, Shwe Thanlwin Co., owned by U Kyaw Win, with a combined investment of US$150,000. ANA will provide the first aircraft.
“Myanmar’s economic power is growing…we want to help contribute to the boom in business and overseas holiday travel,” said Katanozaka.
