Alliance Ground International in investment partnership with Burrell Aviation

Industry investors Burrell Aviation and cargo handlers Alliance Ground International (AGI) said on December 8 they would team up on "cargo and commercial aviation facility investment, development, and operations".

The aim, the two companies said in a statement, is to "further the interests of select US airports in improving cargo capacity, modernising airfield infrastructure, and delivering best-in-class cargo handling services to the air cargo community"

"This partnership will ensure that every cargo facility invested and developed by Burrell Aviation will be able to not only deliver to the airport state of the art supply chain infrastructure, but will now have the ability to provide cargo handling operations to the end user at the highest level of efficiency and performance," said Jared Azcuy, chief executive of AGI, which operates in 61 North American airports.

According to the statement announcing the deal, Burrell Aviation "serves as the holding company for a consortium of individual business interests in a wide range of sectors" and is "a capital investor in next-generation supply chain infrastructure".
