Seabury Solutions has announced that Nauru Air Corporation, the flag carrier of the Republic of Nauru, has deployed the Alkym Platform’s newest feature, the MRO Management and Mobile Maintenance Customer Application.

The MRO Customer App is the latest addition to the Alkym Maintenance Systems, a suite of integrated aviation software solutions for airlines and MROs. The new feature has been specifically designed to enhance airlines’ MRO capabilities and boost the efficiency of aircraft maintenance. Nauru Airlines currently utilizes Alkym to control and manage their fleet.

Seabury Solutions, VP, Head of Sales & Marketing, Carlos Bianchi underscored that “supporting Nauru Airlines as they continue to expand their MRO capabilities is of critical importance to the Seabury Solutions team.”

The MRO Customer App will enable the Pacific airline to approve or reject in real-time the defects and non-routine works that appear during the execution of maintenance tasks performed on their aircraft or components, resulting in significant improvements in their operational and financial performance.

“The new way of promoting and understanding their business, presents many opportunities and challenges, from a digitalization point of view,” commented Nauru Airlines Chief Financial Officer Mariette Ebersohn, adding that the airline “had to find a way to face these challenges by introducing new business verticals to control and manage, in the best way possible, the ones we have already established as profitable. For that reason, we were looking to find a flexible and easy to configure solution, that would allow us to digitalize and manage contracts for our hangars.”

“Our understanding of how we wanted to control our hangars played an important role in under-standing the MRO Management solution that Seabury Solutions was providing,” expounded Brian Huddy, Nauru Airlines’ Head of Maintenance. “We know it will be challenging but after effectively accomplishing the utilization of the Alkym MRO suite, we’d like to explore expanding our MRO capabilities.”
