Aliscargo Airlines launches services

Aliscargo Airlines, the first Italian airline entirely dedicated to the intercontinental transport of goods, begins its business by placing two Boeing 777-200ER on the flight line. The first routes will connect, with more weekly frequencies, Italy with Asia-Pacific and North America.

Chairman of Aliscargo Airlines is Fulvio Gismondi; CEO is Francesco Rebaudo; Chief Commercial Officer is Ulrich Ogiermann. The shareholders are private investors led by the Leali Group and the management.

In announcing the initiative, Chairman Fulvio Gismondi declared: "Air freight transport in the world during the two-year period 2020 - 2021, with the high need for urgent shipments of medical supplies for the pandemic, recorded a surge in significant volumes and turnover compared to previous years. A trend that has also been reinforced by the continuous and constant expansion of e-commerce. Today, the need to offer customised cargo services, depending on the product and the destination, is increasingly being verified. ALISCARGO AIRLINES is ready to create a new bridge to the world to support the expansion of Made in Italy".
