Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has announced updated fleet numbers after making aircraft investments of around $1.4bn in the first quarter of 2023.
During the quarter ALC delivered 22 new aircraft from its order book, including six Airbus A321neos, two Airbus A330-900neos, one Airbus A350-900, five Boeing 737-8s, and eight Boeing 737-9s, while selling two aircraft to third-party buyers.
At end of the quarter, ALC's fleet comprised 437 owned aircraft and 86 managed aircraft. The lessor is awaiting 376 new aircraft on order from Boeing and Airbus, which are set to deliver through to 2029.
During the first three months of 2023, ALC was once again active in the capital markets with an issuance of $700 million 5.30% senior unsecured medium-term notes due 2028 and an inaugural $600 million sukuk offering, made up of 5.85% trust certificates due 2028.
