ALC delivers 14 new aircraft in first quarter 2024; aircraft investments totalling $900 million
Air Lease Corporation (ALC) had delivered 14 new aircraft in the first quarter of 2024 from its order book. It comprised of two A220s, one A320neo, six A321neos, one A350-1000, and four 737-8 aircraft. Its aircraft investments in the quarter totalled around $900 million, with the majority occurring in the second half of the quarter. It also sold five aircraft to third-party buyers with aircraft sales proceeds for the quarter totalling approximately $240 million. The company issued $500 million of 5.10% senior unsecured medium-term notes due 2029, C$400 million of 5.40% senior unsecured medium-term notes due 2028, and €600 million of 3.70% senior unsecured medium-term notes due 2030. At of the first quarter’s end on March 31, 2024, ALC’s fleet comprised of 472 owned and 73 managed aircraft, with 320 new aircraft on order from Boeing and Airbus set to deliver through 2028.
