Alaska Airlines has announced a new direct service between California’s wine country and Las Vegas, commencing on October 1 2024; its seventh nonstop destination from Sonoma County Airport.
The carrier is the only airline to serve all four Bay Area Airports and became the first airline to operate commercial services from Sonoma County Airport nearly two decades ago. “We’ve remained the largest airline at STS serving nearly two million guests since then,” explained vice president of network planning and revenue management at Alaska Airlines, Kirsten Amrine.
The new route between Santa Rosa/Sonoma And Las Vegas will be served by the Embraer E175, configured in a three-cabin setup. Travellers returning from Sonoma will also be able to take advantage of the ‘wine flies free’ programme, with each Mileage Plan member able to check in an entire case of wine – up to 12 bottles – for free.
