Alaska Airlines launched a new nonstop service between San Diego International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The carrier said it will become the only airline to offer this direct route.
The US Department of Transportation (DOT) had approved Alaska's application on December 17, 2024, as part of the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorisation Act 2024 to operate roundtrip service between San Diego and DCA.
“This new route reflects our commitment to San Diego, home of the nation's largest military community, and offers our guests a seamless travel option to our nation's capital,” said CEO Ben Minicucci.
