Akasa Air launches new flights from Jeddah, expanding presence in Middle East
India's newest airline Akasa Air has launched operations from Jeddah, the second destination on its network, further expanding its presence in the Middle East. It will operate daily direct flights between Jeddah and Mumbai from July 15, 2024, and will further ramp up the route to 12 weekly flights from July 21, 2024. It will also launch flights between Jeddah and Ahmedabad with two weekly flights from July 20, 2024. ""We are excited to bring the signature Akasa experience to Jeddah, our second destination in the Middle East."" ""Our strategically designed connections linking Jeddah with two key Indian cities - Mumbai and Ahmedabad will cater to a variety of tourists, fostering bilateral trade and tourism,"" said Akasa Air chief commercial officer and cofounder Praveen Iyer. Akasa Air had launched operations in Doha on March 28, 2024, further bolstering its presence in the Middle East. The airline had launched in August 2022.
