AIX Connect launches 21 weekly flights connecting Surat to Indian metros

AIX Connect, previously known as AirAsia India, is all set to launch 21 new flights from the Indian city of Surat, Gujrat to multiple locations across India with an aim to capture the domestic market. The airline will commence direct daily flights connecting Surat with Delhi, Bangaluru and Kolkata from March 3, 2023.

Surat is the second largest city in Gujrat and well-known for diamond cutting and polishing industry. AIX Connect is eyeing the market-segment of both tourists’ businessmen that visit the city for its tourist attractions like temples, gardens and museums.

Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, AIX Connect, said: “We are excited to announce our network expansion in the west of India, to Surat, Gujarat. The city has shown a robust demand for business and SME travel, and we believe it has great potential for future growth. We will be offering 21 weekly direct flights connecting Surat with Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata, providing our guests with convenient and enjoyable travel experiences.”

AIZ Connect is a subsidiary of Air India and will merge with Air India Express to form a consolidated low-cost carrier under the Tata brand.
