AirTran Airways has agreed a seven-year lease for facilities with authorities at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport securing the base for the airline. "Finalising our long-term lease with the city of Atlanta brings economic certainty to the airline and sets the platform for future growth," said CEO Bob Fornaro. Low-cost carrier AirTran has terminal facilities at the airport with pilot and flight attendant bases, a maintenance hangar and flight training centres.
