Aircalin, the flag carrier airline of New Caledonia, has selected the Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan (GTF) engine to power the airline's commitment for two Airbus A320neo aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2020.

"This engine was the clear choice in terms of fuel efficiency and Pratt & Whitney service and support. We're looking forward to serving our passengers with this incredibly quiet aircraft."
Aircalin currently operates two Bombardier DHC-6-300 aircraft with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engines, as well as Airbus A320 aircraft with V2500 engines by IAE International Aero Engines.
