Airbus aims to recruit more than 13,000 people globally in 2023, with around 7,000 of the hires sought to fill newly created posts and 9,000 of the jobs to be in Europe.
“In 2022 we welcomed more than 13,000 new employees around the world, in a complex environment which tested our resilience and attractiveness as a global employer." said Thierry Baril, chief human resources and workplace officer at Airbus, who called on "talented individuals from all over the world to join us in our journey to make sustainable aerospace a reality and to help us build a better, more diverse and inclusive workplace for all our employees.”
One-third of the jobs to go on offer will be for recent graduates, Airbus said, with the openings to be in technical and manufacturing, as well fields such as new energies, cyber and digital. The manufacturer said it employs 130,000 worldwide but has built up a backlog of aircraft order of over 7,000 and failed to meet production targets in 2022.
