Airbus reports highest monthly deliveries so far in 2025 during September

Airbus delivered 73 commercial aircraft during the month of September, marking the French OEM’s highest monthly total so far this year. The previous high was set in March this year, with a total of 71 deliveries.

Airbus’ September deliveries were sent to 41 customers during the month. Of the total, 59 were the A320neo family jets and another nine were A220 narrowbodies. On the widebody side, four A330s and one A350.

Thus far, the company has delivered 507 aircraft this year.

Additionally, Airbus recorded 10 gross orders in September — all for the A350-900 widebody jet. Two were for a private customer and the remaining eight for an undisclosed customer.

Airbus is targeting around 820 deliveries for the full year, which means around 313 deliveries for the final three months of the year. While a significant effort will be required for the manufacturer to meet its target, December typically provides an end-of-year surge.

In December last year, Airbus delivered 123 jets — a significant surge that brought Airbus' total deliveries for 2024 up to 766 aircraft. This met its revised target of around 770 aircraft.

In June 2024, the company had lowered its initial guidance of 800 aircraft down to 770 as a result of supply chain challenges.
