Airbus reported “continued growth” in its helicopter sales in 2024. For the year, the company recorded 450 net orders (455 gross orders), up from 393 net orders (410 gross orders) in 2023.
“Airbus Helicopters' order intake in 2024, with an increase bordering 10% in units for the second year in a row, highlights its stable growth in a complex global environment,” said Airbus Helicopters CEO Bruno Even.
The orders came from 182 customers in 42 countries. In addition, 361 helicopters were delivered in the year, up from 346 units in 2023. The deliveries resulted in a preliminary share of the civil and parapublic market.
Airbus' Super Puma programme — a medium twin-engined helicopter — performed strongly for the company in the civil and parapublic market, as well as military markets with 58 orders in 2024.
In addition, the company recorded 155 gross orders for the light single-engine H125 and 114 orders for the light twin-engine H145 helicopters. The company also received 47 and 59 orders for the H130 and H135, respectively.
