Airbus records 381 deliveries to 76 customers in first seven months of 2023

Airbus delivered 65 aircraft to 36 customers in July 2023 reaching a total of 381 deliveries in the first seven months of 2023 to 76 customers. Airbus plans to achieve a total of 720 deliveries towards the end of 2023.

Airbus secured 60 gross orders in July including agreements with Pegasus Airlines for an additional 36 jets and with Icelandair for 13 units of the A321XLR.

The recent orders also involved the procurement of 10 A350-900 jets from undisclosed buyers, along with an order from IAG (International Airlines Group) for Iberia. IAG recently unveiled its strategic move to convert options for six Boeing 787-10 aircraft, previously allocated to British Airways, and one Airbus A350-900 originally designated for Iberia, into confirmed orders. Additionally, IAG exercised new options for an extra six 787-10 aircraft.

Airbus also revealed that three A350-900 jets had been cancelled, with the buyer's identity remaining undisclosed.

Approximately 7% of Airbus's substantial order backlog, which comprises nearly 8,000 jets, remains unattributed to specific buyers, in addition to the 17 privately owned planes that are awaiting delivery.
