Airbus delivered 84 commercial aircraft in November, the company said in a report on December 6, 2024, bring its total deliveries for the year to 643 aircraft.
While an impressive improvement compared to 64 deliveries in November last year, the European OEM will be facing an end-of-year crunch if it is to hit its full year delivery target. The company will need to deliver 127 aircraft in December to reach its full year target of 770 aircraft. A tall order, though the company had managed to deliver 112 aircraft in December last year. If it can keep the year-on-year momentum going, the company may yet deliver on its targets.
The company had originally forecast 2024's full year deliveries to hit 800 before it was cut down to 770. Reports have claimed the company will deliver around 750 aircraft this year, but Airbus executives have maintained the 770 delivery target.
Airbus had delivered 735 aircraft in 2023, marking an 11% increase on 2022 deliveries.
The deliveries for the month consisted of 66 A320neo family aircraft and 12 A220s. In addition, the company delivered five A350s and one A330 aircraft.
The company had 30 orders in total in November. The orders consisted of 10 A321neos, 15 A330-900, and five A350-900 aircraft - all of which were undisclosed customers.
