Airbus delivers 793 aircraft in 2025, meeting revised target

After delivering 136 aircraft in December 2025, Airbus has delivered 793 aircraft to 91 customers for the full year. This means the OEM has met its revised target of 790 deliveries for 2025.

Airbus had initially projected 820 deliveries for 2025, but was later trimmed down to 790 amid a “supplier quality issue on fuselage panels” that were impacting deliveries of its A320 family jet.

During late fourth quarter, the BBC had reported that Airbus would be inspecting an unspecified number of its aircraft as a result of the metal panel issue.

In 2024, Airbus has delivered 766 jets with its target for the year being around 770 aircraft. However, this target had been cut down from 800 deliveries during the summer of 2024. The company delivered 735 jets the previous year.

“In a continued complex and dynamic operating environment, deliveries in 2025 maintained an upward trajectory,” said Airbus.

In 2025, the company delivered 93 A220 family jets, up from 75 in 2024 and 68 in 2023; A320 family deliveries totalled 607, up from 602 a year prior and 571 in 2023; A330 deliveries totalled 36, up from 32 in both 2024 and 2023; and A350 family deliveries were flat compared to the year prior at 57, though down from 64 deliveries in 2023.

“The year witnessed several landmark deliveries and welcomed new operators of the A220, the A321XLR, the A330neo and the A350-1000 across all regions,” Airbus added.

In December 2025, the company delivered 17 A220s, 97 A320 family jets, nine A330s, and 13 A350s.

“Airbus also won repeat orders and key new customers in both single aisle and widebody campaigns,” the company said.

The company's backlog at the end of last year reached a record 8,754 aircraft, with the company receiving a gross 1,000 in orders in 2025.

In December, the company received an order for 30 A320neo jets from Chinese lessor CALC and 60 A321neos from Air China. A company ordered three A320neos in early December from an undisclosed customer.

The company will publish its full financial results on February 19, 2026.
