Airbus delivers 47 aircraft in August
Airbus has delivered 47 aircraft to 31 customers in August 2024. The deliveries consist of 24 A321neo, 12 A320neo, and five A220-300 narrowbody aircraft. In addition, it delivered one A330-900 and five A350s. In the same period last year, Airbus had delivered 52 commercial aircraft in August. The European OEM delivered 77 commercial aircraft in July 2024 - a record for the manufacturer this year so far. To the end of August, it has delivered a total of 447 aircraft, beating last year's 433 deliveries when comparing the same period. Some 46 orders in total were made in August, with customers including Cathay Pacific's order of 30 A330s, airBaltic's order of 10 A220-300, and six orders from a private customer. However, it was a quieter month in terms of orders compared to last year's 117 orders in August. In addition, it recorded 59 orders last month, bolstered by the Farnborough International Airshow in the month. Year-to-date, it has recorded 1,218 net orders - after recording some 39 cancellations.
