Airbus deliveries fell 4% in May, report says

Airbus have reportedly delivered around 51 aircraft in May, down 4% compared to last year, according to a report from Reuters, citing industry sources.

This would bring deliveries year to date to around 243 aircraft, down from 256 deliveries made in the first five months of the year in 2024.

Airbus is aiming for around 820 commercial aircraft deliveries this year, meaning it would have to deliver 577 aircraft for the remaining seven months of the year, equating to around 82 deliveries per month.

AIrbus delivered 766 aircraft in 2024, meeting its target of around 770 deliveries. However, the company had initially targeted 800 aircraft, but was lowered due to persistent supply chain issues. Airbus had closed 2024 with 123 aircraft deliveries in December.
