In 2022, European airframe manufacturer Airbus delivered 661 commercial aircraft to 84 customers and received 1,078 gross new orders.
Ahead of announcing a backlog of 7,239 aircraft on January 10, Airbus had earlier conceded it would not meet its 2022 production target.
“In 2022 we served 84 customers with 661 deliveries, an increase of 8% compared to 2021. That’s obviously less than we were targeting but given the complexity of the operating environment I want to thank the teams and our partners for the hard work and the ultimate result,” said chief executive officer Guillame Faury.
Of the 661 deliveries, over 500 were from the popular A320 family, with 53 A220, 33 a330 and 60 A350 deliveries also listed.
An earlier projection of 663 deliveries for the year was cut after sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine prevented the dispatch of two aircraft to Aeroflot.
Airbus is scheduled to announce full-year 2022 financial results on February 16.
