Airberlin carried a total of 3,023,700 passengers during June 2015. The airline cut capacity by 8.5% while the number of passengers decreased by 7% year on year for June. RPKs fell 10% to 4.360 billion kilometers. ASKs were reduced by 9.5%, to 5.216 billion kilometers. Load factor was 0.4% lower year on year for June 2015 at 83.6%. For the period from January up to and including June 2015, load factor is up 0.4 percentage points to 82.6%. Passenger numbers January 2015 to end of June 2015 are down 4.1% against the same period in 2014 at 14,035,619.

This is also reflected in the slightly better results for airberlin's short-haul flight route network. The increased accumulated capacity utilization rate demonstrates that the newly implemented capacity consolidations, as the first step in airberlin's fundamental new orientation, have put us on the right track.
