airBaltic to launch Vilnius-Dubai route as part of its winter schedule

airBaltic is all set for its new route connecting Vilnius to Dubai post securing approval from Lithuanian government. The scheduled flights will commence from November 1, 2023 and this will be the carrier’s second longest route with a distance of 4091 km as the airline will have to take a detour around Russia, Belarusian and Ukrainian airspace.

The airline will operate the route twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturdays with the estimated outbound flight time being around six hours and 35 minutes,

Commenting on the new route, Mantas Vrubliauskas, Vice President, Network Development, airBaltic said: “Dubai is becoming one of the most popular destinations for Lithuanians in winter, and last year there were almost 17,000 passengers traveling between Vilnius and Dubai. With this new non-stop route, we will be making their journey much faster and more comfortable.”

The new service is a part of the airline’s winter schedule along with total of 11 new routes from Baltics and Tampere, in Finland.
