airBaltic has announced its intention to continue operations from its seasonal base of Gran Canaria during the upcoming winter season, commencing from October 2024.
President and CEO of airBaltic Martin Gauss described the base as “an opportunity to optimize [airBaltic’s] capacity for maximum efficiency,” with eight direct routes to the Nordic and Baltic countries for the winter of 2024/2025. “Our presence in Gran Canaria not only enhances connectivity but also offers passengers a wide range of convenient travel options and services,” he added.
All routes will be operated by airBaltic’s fleet of A220-300 aircraft, using a two-class cabin configuration. Two flights a week will operate from Gran Canaria to Riga and Tallinn, with another six destinations served by one weekly service.
