airBaltic reported stronger ticket yield for July and August 2025.
Ticket yields were up 12% in August 2025, compared to the same month a year prior, and up 5.3% in July. Interim CEO of airBaltic Pauls Calitis said the performance improvement was, “driven by adaptability to market conditions and a clear focus on yield recovery during peak season”.
Passenger numbers were down 3.7% in July and down 5.6% in August, which the company anticipated with capacity reductions. Capacity was down 2% in July and down 1% in August.
The company said pricing actions led to a reduction in load factor. July load factor was down 2.3 percentage points, while August was down 3.6 points. However, airBaltic said the overall impact remains positive. RASK was flat in July, at a positive 0.8% compared to last year, though up 4.9% in August.
“With the macroeconomic conditions in our core Baltic markets improving from Q2 onwards, we expect to see further RASK improvements in September compared with last year,” said airBaltic CFO Vitolds Jakovlevs.
The airline said its traffic was temporarily impacted by the suspension of flights to Tel Aviv in both July and August amid ongoing conflict in the region.
